CRAZY for American Idol!

I don't know where he gets this from.....Clint usually just plays air guitar along with the American Idol intro, he doesn't go crazy like this..... ah my little gumm.....

MY BABY IS ONE!

Hard to believe haow the time has flown....I swear we were just trying to figure out how to care for this little guy without totally going crazy ourselves. Turns out he survived his first year despite our shortfalls as parents....one thing we did do right is love this little guy to pieces! It is amazing how he has changed our lives for the better...so THanks Jace Gumm.....Thanks for being you!

I have really gone and messed things up with this blog page....wow.....and now I have run out of time to fix it...oh well...it is what it is.....just gonna have to deal with it the way it is....with Jace's birthday and thanksgiving it's not going to get changed for a while.....

To all in Utah this is my friend Emily ....we work togther (we are good at keeping each other awake at 3 in the morning)....I am her landlord (I am bad at that job she has lots of crickets)...we are also friends ...she says she is a fungus on my heart....no matter what she will always be there :)

Jace finally loved putting his costume....probably because we squealed and made such a fuss over how cute he was was.....he squawked and wiggled back at us inside and was happy while he was outside with the other kids....but any time we knocked on the front door and someone answered he went limp and shy trying to hide behind the floppy dragon face on his hood....even when the neighbors made a fuss over him he wanted no part of it didn't we feel dumb ....we pretty much looked like greedy adults who wanted to go out for candy for ourselves.....maybe next year he will get it! T

he candy he did get didn't really interest him at all....he just likes putting stuff in and taking it out of that bright orange pumpkin.....thanks grandma and grandpa little! that pumpkin happens to be his favorite thing in his toy box right now:)!

This is the giant monster that ate my tiny baby!

It seems like overnight this child replaced my tiny infant....in the morning I sometimes want to yell...."who are you and what have you done with my baby?"

I do cherish all that this little guy is learning to do ... climb up the entertainment center,

climb on the endtables,

search for dad when he is at work,

dance to commercials,

chase us around the house and scream when he finds us,

scream when he is hungry,

scream when he is done eating,

scream when he wants a toy out of reach,

scream when he can't have the remote control,

scream along when we sing songs REALLY loud

....hmmmm

I wonder where he gets that screaming from?

Cousins don't shake hands....cousins gotta hug!

It only took two cameras,

three adults and

about 11 pictures

to get these two to look in the same general direction

to be sort of smiling at the same time, and to keep their hands to themselves (remember that phrase Johnny, I believe you had that comment on an elementary school report card)
they really had a great time together....Trace got to grab Jace's toys right out his hands and Jace really didn't care as long as it was replaced with something else....jace was just happy to have Trace there and he followed him all around the house.....the day after they left, I kept finding Jace going to the back

bedroom to try to find him.....Trace's picture is in his photo book and he squeals every time he sees it......COME BACK SOON TRACE!!!!!
